The account in a review mirror
Account was created : August 2021
The original concept was to add $100 a week and invest into dividend and some growth stocks.
In August 2022 I decided to add $150 a week.
As life has its way, I didn’t manage consistently to invest the money each week. However the contributions were made.
Fidelity does pay a decent amount of interest on uninvested capital compared to some other brokers which either pay nothing or just a little bit.
Contributions are made in chunks. In the beginning it was per week transferred in monthly contributions. Now I just add $1,500 good for 10 weeks.
Total contributions since inception are now $19,050. Current cash $1,119.45.
Today's value after close of the market $21,113.59.
According to my records, the realized dividend is 6.6% since inception. Planed income is 6.75%.
My spreadsheet assumes, that the dividend % is the same over the year. This is not really accurate, but good enough for my purposes.
Total Gain/Loss since inception $665.83 or 3.44% per Fidelity. Keep in mind, the goal is income first and then capital appreciation.
I only have 2 growth stocks in my account: GOOGL and META. Everything else pays a dividend: Dividends: best PDI=14% and lowest GL=0.74%.
FSK has 4.94% of the account and WBA has 0.1% of the account.
AVGO is the best performing position with 80% gain and AQN is the worst performing position with -52.49%.
There are in total 65 positions in the account.
Update 12/30: as outlined the $150 went into SPYI.
This week's addition
150$ will go into
SPYI as position #66.
Going forward
In 2024 the limit to positions will be set to 70. Some of the loosing positions need to be eliminated. The capital needs to be reinvested at the latest the week after selling the position.
