Week 207 (till Feb. 21, 2025)

Review

In week 207 the dividend payments were $20.96. Selling LMT produced a gain of $50.31 and selling INTC produced a loss of $127.81.

Plans

The purchases of MFC (week 207-ending 2/21/25) and BXSL (week 208-ending 2/28/25) already happened. The next 2 weeks are very busy. I will do the investment in DBMF for week 209 already in the upcoming days.
INTC and LMT returned $532 back into the account.
WMT had earnings 2/20. The market clearly did not like it. The earnings itself were not bad, but the outlook, according to the analysts, was disappointing.

From the high of $105.30 the close on Friday was $94.78. That is a 9.99% decline in just  a few days,
Note WMT is in the consumer staples sector. This are the companies, that consumer frequent, no matter what. We all need articles for daily consumption.
I watch about 400 tickers. No, I am not looking at all of them every day. I sort them for different criterias and look at the top and bottoms.
On Friday 292 of those tickers were down, 5 unchanged and the rest was up.
Now, why am I talking about this? There is a change in the market starting to show. Talking about this would mean to get into politics, which I will not do here.
For that reason the $532 remain in cash in the account. The account pays about 4% interest. A lot more then my savings account. For now I will continue to invest the 200$/week. It may change on a dime.

Week 204, 205, 206 (till Feb. 15, 2025)

Review

In week 204 $156.16 entered the account in dividends. In week 205 $42.58 came in. In week 206 $19.31 came into the account.
In week 204, I added to MO, ENB and UNM. No additions in week 205. In week 206 I added to FEPI, BAM, META and HASI. With that $232  are left to be re-deployed from the sale. They will be put to work this week.

Plans for next 2 weeks

The remaining $232 go into FEPI. $200 will be added MFC. The other $200 will be added to BXSL.
Other changes to the portfolio. I am getting rid of INTC and LMT. I still have profits in LMT and a loss in INTC.  LMT has been on decline over the past quarter. It is almost at the price from 12 months ago. Our president mentioned he will cut defense spending. That did send a lot of defense stocks on steep declines the last week. I am also going to get rid of CMG. CMG does not pay a dividend. It was in the portfolio to have some capital appreciation stocks. Since the split in June 2024 it is still in the post split depression.  Time to cut it before the loss gets bigger.
I was considering to add AMZN to the mix. With over 50 positions, I'd rather cut down at the moment and build up some of the other funds.
Also some of the funds I have e.g. FEPI own AMZN.
As of January 31, 2025 the top 15 holdings of  FEPI reveal 6.91% of the holdings are AMZN. Alphabet Class A is 4.45%. So if I want more exposure there and the advantages of income from covered calls, I might es well add to this position.
