Week 254 - This Time Really Back In the Game (till Jan-17-2026)

Review Dividend 2.0 Account

Life has it's ways.  I am still dealing with a few things. However, I plan to be more organized again.
This week $53.17 of dividends did make it into the account.
I didn't manage to by anything this week. There are 10 weeks left till end of March. I have to catch up with investing a bit faster.
It is a bit hard, the markets are so high. However there are still companies and ETF's I like.

Plan next week

200$ each will go into the following tickers: BCX (new), BNS (1.0), STWD(1.0), GOOG(1.0)

Week 251 - Back in the game

History

I actually had a posting started  with the subject Week 250 - What a number.
And what a number it is. Granted, I did play catch up with the posts somebody when I started. (Read the beginning for 1.0, it is all outlined there).

Review Dividend 2.0 Account

Life has it's ways. I still have not invested all the cash I had moved over from dividend 1.0.
Timing the market is not something I am interested in doing.  I did invest last week about 9k.
I added 13 weeks of  $200 to the account. That gets me the capital until the last week completly in March 2026.
I bought AMLP, BMY, FOF, FSK, QQQ, LGI, OBDC, PDI, RTX, SPYI, ICAP, TFC, VC.

Dividend reinvesting is now enabled for all tickers.
A few of the tickers are still paying dividends this year. Some of them, will already reinvest, others may still be cash only.

Since the start of 2.0 I am still a bit in the red for the account. As of today it is $190 down on the invested capital of 38k.

Week 237 (till Sep. 20, 2025)

Review Dividend 1.0 Account

All positions in the Dividend 1.0 portfolio have been liquidated.  I am still working on the final write up.
I have left about $404 in the old account. There may still be one or 2 dividends showing up.  To not have to much cash sitting there and to also not have to much exposure in the account, I bought 5 shares of CSCO in that account. They will sit there and wait until the cows come home. Dividends will be re-invested starting January.

Review Dividend 2.0 Account

From account 1.0 $42,000 were moved into the account. I also topped up the account till December 28, 2025. That makes then total contributions of $45,600
So far interest payments of $118.35 for July and August have entered the account. Dividends of $101.19 have entered the account. The re-investment is still disabled. This will be enabled later this year. At the latest Jan 1st, 2026.
Div-20-2025-09-22
To re-iterate. This is not a portfolio to outperform the market. This to generate income. The target is 8% a year.
Starting next week there will be 14 weeks left in the year to hit Dec. 28, 2025. That would make $1,500.00 a week to invest all remaining cash.  As I did with Dividend 1.0, I did create more than 1 position in the beginning.  I will do the same thing here.

Account Guidelines

Dividend 1.0 had a 50 position limit, which at the end I ignored. I will remove the limit. No need to have a rule, that is not followed.
The sources of inspiration will still be Steven Fiorillo posting in Seeking Alpha for  100$/week dividend portfolio and FerdiS from Divgro 2.0 and other articles I may find useful and convincing.
Dividends need to be re-invested at the latest Jan 1, 2026 (some may still escape, depends on ex-date and me enabling this.)
There will be no MLP's. (also in 1.0)
No position can be more than 5% of the portfolio ( also in 1.0)
Desired yield is 3% when position is established. However some tickers may deviate from that.

Account Guidelines

$500 into IBM, $500 into MAIN, $500 PDI, $500 SRE, $500 NXG

Week 228 (till 2025-07-18)

Review

I am still in the process of slowly but surely liquidating the other account and transferring the money here.
Last week I added 1 new position and purchased put $1,000.00 into QQQI. It is another covered call ETF and looks to have better performance then the other ones I had.

Week 227 (till 2025-07-11)

Review

All cash from the dividend portfolio will end up here over time. I need to make sure, I am not getting into wash sales.  The first proceeds have arrived in the new account.

The first 2 positions have been created. $1,000.00 went into CAH and 2 shares of Meta were purchased.

The Next Set Has Been Liquidated

Outline

This week I sold MAIN, META,  JHG.
The trades have settled and I move the proceeds into the new account.
So far all sales have been for profit.
